RACE NOTES:

- Thanks to Kyle and Travis for coming out this week, sorry for how much of a clusterfuck this race turned into. It's not normally this bad and we'll definitely be doing Le Mans next week in the A550 race so everything should go much smoother.

- Next week we'll be starting no later than 4:30. Sorry if you can't get on before then or have something else going on but we've been pushing these races back later and later every week and we really need to stop.

- I gave Kyle back 3pts because he was the only dude not to go way over the target time and we didn't really give anyone enough time to adjust their cars for Motegi. For future reference you want to be as close to the target lap time as possible so tune your car in advance.

- Couple things about that for the new guys: the target times I post in the pre-race thread are the times to shoot for, ignore in-race lap times. We made 2:23 our time this week and people ran in the 2:21's mostly, which (for reasons unknown) has happened every week we've done this series. Since everyone runs a set amount of time faster there's no need to compensate for it while tuning, just concentrate on hitting the target time and you should be fine for the race.

- Finally, a friendly reminder: 1) there will be contact in this series but mainly 2) you should do everything you can to avoid it. Couple racers apparently got into it this week and one was irritated enough to message me about it. I assume the guy responsible knows who he is (not calling anyone out or anything but they were in a blue and orange car) but if not this should serve as a warning. On the same subject sorry AutoFixation, that mid-race crash at Turn 10 was my fault, should've given you more room on the inside.

Yep, link to the main series page, and the secondary post explaining the second series is here . TL;DR it's two series running at once on alternating weeks, one with Trans-Am muscle cars and one with smaller B450 under-2L/Two-Five Challenge cars. Very similar to Group J but with some more rules and regulations to make it fair for everyone: required upgrades, maximum allowed lap times, etc. etc. Races are every Saturday at 4pm EST, let me know if you're interested, we'd love to have another person.

Yeah, communication and competence aren't exactly the hallmarks of these races. What I'd really like to do is have someone with a capture card record the races so we could put them up on Youtube like Group J but I'd settle for someone who could reliably take maybe 6 pics from the race every week.

I was running 4:45's last night so anywhere near that's fine I guess. If that seems to slow let me know, the pre-race hasn't gone up yet and I can always change it.

Was that at A550 or already handicapped?

I did a three lap run last Thursday at A550 with a little tweaking in the middle and recorded a 4:39.887.

I was at 523, was thinking to get it down to a 4:42. Problem is the lower we drop the lap time, the more engine upgrades everyone else will add, and the the more disadvantaged we are on the straights since we're still running ~400hp A550 engine upgrades.
